Dioptrx

It can be incredibly frustrating if you love astronomy but suffer from astigmatism. Fortunately, Tele Vue has created the Dioptrx range of corrector lenses for their eyepieces, including the popular Nagler series, in a range of diopter steps from 0.25mm to 3.5mm. These allow you to enjoy the outstanding views the eyepieces produce without the discomfort of wearing eyeglasses!

For example, if you’ve been diagnosed with 2.0mm diopters of astigmatism, you’ll need the Tele Vue Dioptrx Astigmatism Corrective Lens 2.00 Diopter. It works by directly fitting over the top of the eyepiece to produce the sharpest, full-field view possible.

If you own Type 6 Naglers, you’ll also want to take advantage of the Tele Vue Eyepiece Adapter for Dioptrx and Fonemate. This converts the smaller eyeguard of the Type 6 Nagler eyepieces to a larger size, allowing you to attach your Dioptrx corrective lens to the eyepiece.
