Tele Vue Optics

The legend of Tele Vue began way before the company was formed in 1979. During his days at NASA as a professional optical designer, Al Nagler, now one of the undisputed heroes of the amateur astronomy market, worked on designing lunar landing simulators. He loved the "seemingly endless vista" the simulators provided for the astronauts, and he wanted to offer that same kind of feeling to amateur astronomers as well. This experience was a touchstone for Al throughout his career and can be seen clearly in his ground-breaking Nagler eyepieces, first released to the public in 1980, and it continues to be seen in one of Tele Vue's latest creations - the Ethos eyepiece.
