The Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) case includes two lockable latches, two steel-reinforced handles, a 3" by 34" steel hinge and die-cut foam lining with compartments for telescope, eyepieces, finder (must be detached and inserted into a foam compartment) and accessories. It can be carried or pulled using the attached wheels. The foam is configured at the factory for the SN-8. You simply pull out precut sections to increase the cavity size to match the SN-10.
Outside dimensions of the OTA case are approximately 40-1/2" x 17-1/2" x 15-1/4" and its empty weight is approximately 21.2 lbs. The shipping box is approximately 40-5/8" x 15-5/8" x 18-1/2" (UPS Ground Oversized 2 rate is at 70 lb) and the shipping weight is approximately 26.0 lbs. All values are subject to slight changes.
