The 10x50 DCF ED binocular is made with ED glass optical elements for a sharper and more vivid image, while Pentax's hybrid aspherical lens elements improve the edge-to-edge performance. The prisms on the 10x50 Pentax DCF EDs are phase-coated for better resolution and contrast, while a reflection coating improves their light transmission. Lastly, the DCF ED 10x50 binoculars are fully multi-coated with Pentax's PentaBright technology, while a hard coating on the exposed lens surface improves durability. The Pentax 10x50 DCF ED binocular weighs just 30 oz. which is light for a 50-mm objective lens. With a fully-locking diopter, multi-position adjustable eyecups and an extra-long 22 mm of eye relief, the 10x50 Pentax DCF ED binocular is comfortable in the hands or around the neck.
