MODEL ST-7XE / ST-7ME ENHANCED DETECTOR The ST-7XE is a self-guided imaging CCD which contains two chips, one for Imaging and a smaller chip for guiding. The Camera includes a 16 Bit A/D converter, a electro-mechanical shutter, regulated temperature control, all of the electronics are integrated into the CCD head. The ST-7XE is furnished Windows software. Guided exposures up to 1 hour can be done with a Celestron C-8 SCT to capture images showing 19th magnitude. The Kodak KAF-400 chip can be binned to match pixel size for various focal length telescopes.
