MODEL ST-8XE ENHANCED DETECTOR The ST-8XE is identical to the ST-7XE except that it is furnished with a 4x larger CCD Chip with a Resolution of 1530 x 1020. The ST-8XE active area is 13.8 x 9.2 mm this allows the user to image larger fields of view. You can bin the pixels to 9,18,27 microns so the user can match the CCD to various focal length telescopes. The ST-8EX has a 16 Bit A/D converter, regulated temperature control with all of the electronics integrated into the CCD head.
