This Apertura illuminator is a great companion to your reticle eyepiece! It is designed to have a red LED light with adjustable brightness.
With the On and OFF switch, this illuminator is incredibly easy to operate and will help you find the center or your field of view, even during the darkest of nights. Reticle eyepieces are designed to help you spot the center of the eyepiece, but what good is it if you can't make out the lines as you're peering through your telescope? Adding this Apertura Illuminator will be a great help so you can spot the center of your eyepiece, no matter where you are. Compatible with, and makes a great replacement for the illuminator of many reticle eyepieces, including the Meade 9 mm Illuminated Reticle Plossl 1.25" Eyepiece.
Apertura Illuminator Design
The Illuminator is made of a metal tube that is threaded on one side to fit reticle eyepieces that have an 8mm female thread port.
