Astronomik

Astronomik Filters are designed and manufactured in Germany. All components, from the precision glass substrate to the anodized aluminum for EOS clip filters and threaded mountings, are made in Europe from the highest quality materials. Quality control is taken very seriously; in fact, each filter has its own serial number and is inspected at the factory before shipment.

Unlike many other filter manufacturers, Astronomik filters are made of a piece of transparent polished glass with thin dichroic filter layers applied to both sides of the glass substrate. The transmission curves are optimized for bright, high-contrast images without losing the subtle gradations in celestial objects. An integrated IR Blocking layer prevents fogging due to Infrared radiation up to 1200nm. This process results in a maximum transmission of 99.6% and almost zero reduction in the performance of your optical chain.

Astronomik filters are truly parfocal, which means no extra focusing is required when changing from one filter to another. They also have an amazing shelf life and are highly scratch- and moisture-resistant. Astronomik is so sure of the resistant coating technology used on their filters that they offer a Ten Year Guarantee!

We believe Astronomik Filters are superb. Whether you are a beginner, enthusiast, or professional, Astronomik filters are the right choice. If you have any questions or need help choosing the right filters for your set-up, feel free to contact our telescope experts via chat, phone, or email.
