Baader Planetarium's 2"/ 1.25" Reducer allows you the convert your 2" focuser for use with 1.25" eyepieces and accessories. Among many useful features of the 2" Reducer, the spring bronze lock ring ensures protection for your eyepiece barrels. The incorporation of two nickel plated brass knurled clamp screws, oriented 90° apart, provides stability for your equipment, eliminating any wobble. This feature is particularly important for users having imaging applications. The addition of a second screw also provides double locking force which is very helpful for users with arthritis.
The input side of Baader's 2"/ 1.25" Reducer is provided with 48 mm filter threads and also includes an internal T-2 thread. This feature enables users to incorporate other T-2 system components making the 2"/ 1.25" Reducer multifunctional. Surrounding the eyepiece opening on the 2" Reducer, is the inclusion of an external T-2 thread. This external T-2 Thread is covered and protected by a knurled removable ring. This external T-2 thread allows users to couple other T-2 accessories to the output side.
