Celestron 10x50 Nature DX ED Binoculars

  • Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) objective lenses provide views with high resolution and contrast with virtually no optical defects such as chromatic aberration (color fringing)
  • Fully multi-coated optics enable maximum optical light path transmission
  • Phase coated BaK-4 prisms generate brilliant colors authentic to reality
  • Sturdy, twist-up eyecups with multiple stops provide plenty of eye relief for a comfortable viewing experience for those who wear eyeglasses
  • Adaptable to any standard photographic tripod to facilitate both extended viewing time as well as digiscoping

With the addition of ED objective lenses Celestron's first-rate Nature DX binocular series has received a significant upgrade. For a reasonable price, these Nature DX ED binoculars offer optical performance equivalent to more upscale binoculars.

Capable of accumulating a large quantity of light with their bountiful 50 mm objective lenses, these binoculars are the optimal choice for observing at dawn or dusk when viewing conditions are poor. In addition, 10x magnification makes this model ideal for long distance viewing or surveillance. Witness the Nature DX ED binoculars in action in the video below

ED Objective Lenses

Chromatic aberration, or color fringing, a visual defect frequently experienced by binocular users, is all but completely eliminated due to the Nature DX's Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass. Enjoy razor sharp images even at the edges of the view field, as well as vibrant, realistic color

In terms of quality, not all ED glass is created equal. Images viewed through these Celestron 10x50 Nature DX binoculars will be visibly brighter and sharper compared to images viewed through binoculars without ED glass objective lenses. This discrepancy becomes particularly apparent in low light conditions, such as at daybreak or twilight.

Coatings and Prisms

Nature DX ED binocular optics are fully multi-coated, a distinction given to binoculars that have all interior air-to-glass surfaces coated with multiple layers of anti-reflectivity coatings for maximum light transmission to the user's eye.

Interior prisms are made of high quality BaK-4 glass with phase coatings applied to allow more light to reach your eye after being reflected off their internal faces.

Taken together, the fully multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms maximize light transmission for remarkably bright, highly detailed images. The ED objective lenses further enhance these features, especially in low light conditions.

The Body

Housed in a durable, rubber armored polycarbonate exterior, Nature DX ED binoculars are simultaneously lightweight and resistant to damage. Sturdy twist-up eyecups enable comfortable viewing for both eyeglass and non-eyeglasses wearers alike. Easily find the optimal position for your eye using multiple click-stops. Furthermore, Nature DX ED binoculars are fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to keep all internal lenses from fogging. These binoculars can withstand even the harshest outdoor conditions.

Perfect for a Variety of Uses

With 10x magnification, this Nature DX ED binocular model is ideal for viewing remote subjects close-up. 50 mm objective lenses allow for maximum light accumulation, while remaining light enough for handheld use without a tripod. Naturally, these binoculars are also capable of attaching to a tripod using a separately sold adapter in order to extend observing sessions or enable digiscoping.

Ways to Observe

Comfortably carry your Nature DX ED binoculars using the included strap. Tripod adaptable, these binoculars can be mounted to any standard photographic tripod for extended viewing or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece). Tripod adapter sold separately. A protective padded nylon case is also included for protection during storage and transport.
