Celestron ExploraScope 114mm Alt-Azimuth Newtonian Reflector

With the Celestron 4.5" ExploraScope Reflector and an eyepiece you'll be able to observe hundreds of celestial objects, from an up-close-and-personal experience with the Moon to galaxies and other deep sky objects that are millions of miles from Earth. Discover the rings of Saturn, Jupiter and four of its moons, and spy Venus in her different phases. With the included erect image 20mm eyepiece you can also use this telescope for daytime viewing at 50X magnification.

Weighing just 6.7 pounds, the 80AZ ExploraScope is very lightweight and easy to set up, move, and store. The included aluminum tripod has adjustable legs so you can vary the height of the telescope, and the easy-to-use alt-azimuth mount comes equipped with a handle, making it a piece of cake to follow objects through the sky as the earth rotates. A classic red dot finder, or StarPointer, is included with your telescope. Once aligned, all you have to do is point the illuminated red dot to the object you'd like to get a closer look at, and then peer into the eyepiece to see a magnified view. You will be amazed at how easy the ExploraScope is to use, and how fast your guests and/or children will learn how to star-gaze on their own.

The Celestron ExploraScope comes complete with everything you need to get started with amateur astronomy: a 20mm Erect Image Eyepiece (good for both daytime and nighttime use), a 4mm standard eyepiece, a 3x Barlow lens to triple the magnifying power of each eyepiece, and a full-height (max 52") adjustable height aluminum tripod. Plus, you can download Celestron’s SkyPortal app for iOS and Android devices to help locate and learn about celestial objects. Curious to learn more? Check out the comprehensive video below!
