High Precision Focus with the SESTO SENSO 2!

Adding an electronic focuser to your set up, such as the SESTO SENSO 2 Robotic Focusing Motor, saves you time and provides incredible convenience during your imaging sessions. With changes in temperatures throughout the night, the focal point of your optics shifts, requiring periodic refocusing. If you are manually focusing your telescope, having to go through the whole focusing process over again can prove to be wearisome, especially in cold weather and overnight imaging sessions. Eliminating this stress is an electronic focuser; automating your set up and doing the hard work for you! Software of your choice controls the motors within the SESTO SENSO 2, bringing your telescope into sharp focus.

This SESTO SENSO 2 offers many features that make it a great choice for your focusing needs. Without the requirement of a mounting plate, this focuser provides easy installation on a wide variety of telescopes with PrimaLuceLab’s Self-Centering Clamp Technology (SCC). This type of connection still allows manual focus of your telescope, even when the SESTO SENSO is powered off! High precision focusing is thanks to the 0.7 microns per step for the best possible sharpness within your frames. Power this focuser through the included 12V DC plug power cable, and if using a ARCO Rotator (sold separately), the onboard ARCO port allows use of this rotator without the need for extra power cables. The lights on this focuser are dimmable, and can be turned off completely if desired. PrimaLuceLabs also provides multiple means of control for this SESTO SENSO 2. Connect it to your computer or the PrimaLuceLab EAGLE5 Control Unit (sold separately) with the added USB-C cable or utilize the WiFi capabilities through the Virtual HandPad app on your Smartphone or tablet!

Easy Installation on a Wide Variety of Telescopes!

It may seem daunting to affix an electronic focuser to your telescope, but no need to worry! The process is simple and straightforward. This SESTO SENSO 2 replaces the fine and course adjustment knobs and uses motors to bring your telescope into focus. As opposed to other electronic focusers, this PrimaLuceLab focuser does not require use of an external bracket for mounting. Most course adjustment focusing shafts have a diameter of 25mm, which the SESTO SENSO 2 uses to clamp onto. If this shaft on your telescope is a different size, PrimaLuceLabs offers SESTO SENSO adapters if needed. To install this focuser, simply remove the course and fine adjustment knobs, attach the appropriate bushing to the fine focus shaft, then join the SESTO SENSO by securing the clamp and flexible coupling on the focuser body. An assortment of 6 different bushings are provided for adaptation to many sizes of fine focusing shafts. Unsure if this clamp or bushings will fit your telescope? You can easily check by taking the diameter of the course and fine focusing shafts and comparing them the sizes of the clamp and bushings provided! This SESTO SENSO is known to be compatible with Apertura, SharpStar, Askar, William Optics, Sky-Watcher, and more!

Extensive Software Control
The SESTO SENSO 2 can be operated numerous different ways. Utilize the EAGLE Control Unit (sold separately) or connect it to your computer for use through the provided PLAY software or ASCOM control interface. This ASCOM driver lets you use popular imaging software such as NINA, Sequence Generator Pro, and many more. Wanting to go wireless? Built-in WiFi offers cable-free control through your Smartphone or tablet with the intuitive Virtual HandPad app!
