This filter holder from Starizona allows 2-inch mounted filters to be used on Celestron 8-inch RASA scopes with cameras that are not compatible with filter sliders due to the RASA 8's short backfocus. If you have a camera that is unable to use filter sliders with the RASA 8, this is a great solution!
The Starizona 2-inch filter holder for RASA 8 includes a 5 mm, M42 spacer that provides a 17.5 mm backfocus (other spacers are available, sold separately). The maximum usable backfocus without a spacer is 22.5 mm.
Directions for installation and use: To use the RASA 8 filter holder, remove the optical window that comes installed in the RASA 8 and install a standard 2" mounted filter in the Filter Holder. The Holder then replaces the standard camera adapter flange from the RASA and is held in place using the stock lock ring. The filter holder includes slots so you can still access the collimation screws on the RASA.
