You no longer have to worry about attaching a polar scope to your mount! The Star Adventurer GTi comes with a built-in polar scope and illuminator. The illuminator brightness can be adjusted via your smartphone or tablet by utilizing the SynScan app and powerful integrated WiFi feature. You can also adjust it from a user-supplied SynScan hand controller. Another great built-in feature is the latitude and azimuth adjustments. This means you have no need for an EQ wedge like you would with the standard Star Adventurer 2i star tracker. This mount truly bridges the gap between the original Star Adventurer and a fully GoTo mount perfect for astrophotography!

A Complete Kit Loaded with Features
Along with the Star Adventurer GTi mount head complete with shaft and two counterweights, this kit also includes a tripod and pier extension. The GTi features many ports for added functionality in addition to amazing tracking capabilities. It can also be operated wirelessly with eight AA batteries or from an external, wired power source through the 2.1 mm female power port. Additionally, the included pier extension gives more clearance to your setup, preventing your equipment from coming in contact with the tripod legs.
Excellent Tracking Performance
Control this Sky-Watcher GoTo mount from your phone or tablet! All you need is the SynScan app (available for iOS and Android through their respective app stores). Or, you can also use a SynScan hand controller (sold separately) to access and set the tracking modes for your mount. The Star Adventurer GTi mount comes with pre-programmed tracking rates including sidereal, solar, and lunar tracking modes. Sky-Watcher has designed this Star Adventurer GTi mount with all-metal gearing. The right ascension (RA) gear comes with 180 teeth to ensure smooth tracking performance.
Several Ports for Expanded Functionality
Near the removable RA cap, you will find a panel with all of the included Star Adventurer GTi mount ports. These interfaces include a standard ST4 guiding port, a 2.1 mm power port, a SNAP port, a USB-B port for interfacing with your computer, and a port for DSLR shutter control. The DSLR shutter control is programmable through the free SynScan Pro app that you can download to your Android or iOS devices. In addition to the on/off switch, there is also a port for the optional SynScan hand controller (sold separately).
Versatile Power Options
The Star Adventurer GTi mount gives you a couple of options to power the unit. Hidden under the RA cap are two battery compartments to accept eight AA batteries (we recommend rechargeables). This helps protect the batteries from the elements. Alternatively, you can power the GTi externally with a 12V power source via the 2.1 mm female power port.
Tripod and Pier Extension Included
For those looking for the complete mounting setup in one box, this Star Adventurer GTi mount kit comes with a sturdy tripod and pier extension. With legs made of steel and an adjustable height of 26.75" to 44.5", this tripod will securely hold your Star Adventurer mount and camera equipment during your imaging sessions. Also included is an 8.5" pier extension, providing extra height and reducing the chance of your gear making contact with the tripod legs.
Two Counterweights and Counterweight Shaft Included
Whether you are in low or high latitudes, this GoTo Star Adventurer mount has you covered. On the body of the mount, there are two counterweight positions. Simply attach the included 20 mm counterweight shaft and either or both of the included counterweights to the applicable counterweight position and you can access a true 0° to 70° latitude range. With a 20 mm diameter shaft, the counterweight bar is also compatible with other standard, and possibly larger, counterweights.
