This Astrozap dew heater band's ability to generate heat evenly across the length of the band allows it to efficiently protect the optics from most gathering dew. The side of the band which fits against the telescope and is fastened firmly by a velcro attachment is made with high quality materials that are soft enough and will not mar the finish on your telescope. This dew heater band, proudly made in the USA, is compatible with 6" telescopes.
This is the newest design of AstroZap's active dew fighting system. AstroZap moved the electrical cord to the same side of the velcro fastener to reduce excess wear or snagging of the cord. The design has also improved the stitching to lend to a longer product life and higher durability.
The dew band will draw unregulated, full amperage when used with the Astrozap Simple DC Adapter; When connected to the AstroZap Dual Channel Controller, the band can utilize electrical energy to save the battery life. Both of these items are not included, but can be located in the Recommended Accessories.
Dew heater specs: 24" in length, 9.6 Watts @ 12 Volts, 0.80 Amps.
