Recently released, the Takahashi ultra wide, flat field eyepieces are an original designed series producing a flat field of 90 degrees apparent field view with pin point stars across the field. Designed to be used with the flat field FSQ's, FS-60Q's, TOA's with flatteners, Corrected Mewlons, Mewlons with MCR Correctors, and other flat field telescopes, these aplantic eyepieces are free of coma and spherical aberration. The Takahashi UW Telescope Eyepieces are offered in 3.3, 5.7, 7 and 10 mm to offer a wide range of magnifications with the same ultra wide flat 90 degree field.

Takahashi 10 mm UW Telescope Eyepiece was designed with 12 mm of eye relief, an extendable eyecup for maximum shielding from stray light, and has all internal surfaces painted with optical flat black paint to insure greatest possible contrast and prevent ghost images. Viewers can observe without glasses unless astigmatism presents in the observer's vision, then glasses can be used for viewing.
