Stellarvue Color Balanced Chromatic Aberration Filter - XCLR1

  • Stellarvue XCLR1 is a color balanced chromatic aberration filter

  • Used to remove residual chromatic aberration color with achromats and larger ED telescopes

  • XCLR1 chromatic aberration filter by Stellarvue removes purple fringes observed around brightest stars and planets with achromats and larger ED telescopes

  • Objects will appear in their natural colors with this filter

This Stellarvue XCLR1 Color Balanced Chromatic Aberration Filter can help you if you have an achromat or ED telescope that produces some false color when viewing the brightest stars and planets. Unlike other chromatic aberration filters that eliminate the purple but turn the image brown, this one is color matched. Objects will appear their natural color, but the color error in these less expensive telescopes will be reduced. This filter was originally designed for the Stellarvue SV110ED scope since it already has excellent color correction. This filter reduces the purple fringe seen around the brightest stars and planets.

This XCLR1 color balanced chromatic aberration filter by Stellarvue attaches to your eyepieces which are equipped with female filter threads.

Note: This filter is not intended for use with Stellarvue APO telescopes, as it is not needed for these scopes.
