The Celestron 0.7x Reducer Lens - EdgeHD 1100 is designed to be used with the EdgeHD 1100 Telescope by Celestron. This lens shortens the inherent focal length of the 1100 scope by a factor of 0.7x. The Celestron EdgeHD 0.7x Reducer makes your EdgeHD 1100 one full f-stop faster than its nominal f/10. This reduces the exposure time by one-half, to capture the same brightness of the object being observed.

The 0.7x EdgeHD Reducer is made up of a 5-element lens design and maintains the comparable flat-field performance inherent in native Edge HD optical designs. The Reducer increases the field of view by 43%. This increase in the FOV allows you to better capture wide field images. The 0.7x Reducer Lens by Celestron can thread directly onto the 3.25" threads of the EdgeHD telescope. This allows for use with larger, full frame sensors and off-axis guiders, as well as reducing mechanical vignetting. The EdgeHD Reducer Lens preserves the inherent back focus when used at f/10. The 0.7x Reducer can also provide generous back focus to accommodate additional accessories and a wide variety of CCD cameras. An existing EdgeHD T-Adapter with or without reducer lenses can also be used with Celestron's 0.7x Reducer Lens - EdgeHD 1100.
