The objective mirror has a parabolic shape to easily capture light rays and direct them to your eyepiece. Because all wavelengths reflect off the mirror the same way, reflecting telescopes virtually eliminates chromatic aberration.
Many reflecting telescopes also feature a secondary mirror, such as Ritchey–Chrétiens, Dobsonians, Dall-Kirkhams, and many other styles. The secondary mirror can be curved, like a Cassegrain or flat, like a Newtonian, depending on the reflecting telescope design. Keep in mind that the secondary mirror may produce some diffraction because of where it redirects light.
