Apertura Optics Cleaning Kit
This comprehensive cleaning kit from Apertura has all you need to make sure your optics, such as SCTs, refractors, eyepieces, and even DSLRs, are clear and able to deliver top performances. Each item of the kit has been selected to make sure your optical surfaces can be cleaned and free of blemishes caused by dirt, fingerprints, and other particles. The components are also designed to be delicate enough not to scratch the lenses or mar optical coatings.

The Microfiber Cleaning Cloths
Included in the kit are four microfiber cleaning cloths. Each cloth measures about 15 cx 15 cm and is safety sealed when it arrives. The lens cloth is great for cleaning the glass surfaces within your optical system. You can use it dry to remove surface-level particulates or with the supplied cleaning solution to remove tougher blemishes, like smudges of dirt or fingerprints.
The Anti-Bacterial Screen Cleaning Wipes and Lens Paper
These four pre-packaged moist wipes are great for cleaning the exterior of your equipment while in the field. They can help remove dirt, grease, and more.
The kit also includes several sheets of lens paper, each measuring about 7.5 cm x 10 cm. You can use this soft lens paper to wipe off your optics if dust or dirt accumulates. These lens papers are disposable so you do not have to worry about transferring dust or other particulates left on the paper from a previous cleaning.
The Lens and Sensor Cleaning Solutions
The Apertura lens cleaning solution can be used for tougher bits of grease or dirt that the lens pen, microfiber cleaning cloth, or lens paper can't quite remove on their own. The solution has a mild, alcohol-free, volatile formula that makes it safe to use with your optics while not leaving any residue.
The sensor cleaning solution has a similar formula to the lens cleaning solution but is designed specifically for sensors, which require a more delicate solution to keep from damaging the sensor. Also included in the kit are five sensor cleaning swabs, which work as applicators for the sensor cleaning solution. It is not recommended to use a microfiber cloth on the sensors, so these swabs will be perfect to clean your delicate sensors. They come in a sealed package to protect against dirt or dust until ready to use.
The Rubber Air Blower
This air blower consists of a rubber bulb with a nozzle. You can squeeze the nozzle to blow air onto your optics. This is an excellent tool to use when you want to remove dust particles without touching the optics or sensors directly.
The Lens Pen
The included Apertura Lens Pen is just the tool you need to do a quick cleaning job on your optics! The retractable brush gently removes dust and any other loose particles. You can also use the other end, which is made of a felt pad, to gently remove smudges or smears. Whenever the lens pen is not being used, make sure to retract the cleaning brush and use the rubber cap.
The Carry Case
The Apertura cleaning kit comes with a reinforced soft case that is capable of holding all of the kit components. It is made with a high-quality durable fabric and is closed using a strong zipper. You can rest assured that your components will be safe in the case during times of storage or travel.
Remember, only clean your optics when you have to! A few specks of dust are normal and won't usually interfere with your observations. If you do need to clean, always choose the tool with the least impact on the surface of the glass first. Taking care to only clean your optics when absolutely necessary will help keep the coatings intact and scratch-free.
