Unrivaled Voltage Stability

Astronomy devices are engineered to operate within specified working range of voltage. Keeping within this range is imperative to their proper functionality. A voltage drop that is outside of this working range can cause malfunctions or even damage. Voltage drops can occur from a high power draw and/or low charge level. Many batteries will show a voltage drop through the night as the batteries power level decreases. This voltage drop can sometimes show up as a warning in software and might cause the power level to be outside that of the device's working range.

To ensure the dual dedicated astronomy DC ports of the Apertura All Night Imaging Power Supply provide a reliable output for 12V devices, this power supply is built with voltage regulation technology. While some power supplies use a direct feed from their internal cells, resulting in a voltage drop as the battery drains, the Apertura All Night Imaging Power Supply uses a higher voltage 24v battery pack design that is then stepped down to 12v nominal at the 5.5x2.1mm ports. This means you can say goodbye to voltage drop, with a steady output from 100% to 1%.

Essential Cables Included
This battery comes with the cables you need to get you started on your portable power journey. Covering your DC power needs are four cables - a 5.5x2.5mm 2 meter cable for mounts and devices using this larger standard, and three 5.5x2.1mm cables of varying lengths to suit a variety of situations (a 2 meter, 1 meter, and 0.5 meter). Expanding your power supply options further, two heavy gauge Y-splitter cables are included which increase the available 5.5x2.1mm connections to four.
