About the HyperStar Lens:

Imaging with the HyperStar Lens is the quickest, most straightforward method for capturing images of deep sky celestial bodies. The HyperStar takes the Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope and turns it into a super fast f/2 imaging instrument. The most critical element of an optical system, as far as imaging is concerned, isn't aperture, it's focal ratio (f-number). A faster focal ratio (and lower f-number) allows for shorter required exposure times. An SCT ordinarily functions at f/10. Modifying this to f/2 would speed up the telescope by 25x for capturing images. Exposures that would typically take hours can now be taken in just minutes!
