Upgrade Your Gran Turismo Astrophotography Experience

William Optics' premium Gran Turismo line of refractors sport excellent optical performance, with FPL-53 glass providing super low dispersion apochromatic views from air-spaced triplet designs. With the 1x Flattener for GT71 and 81 WIFD telescope you can harness this superb performance for full-frame astro images with a dedicated corrective optic. Seamlessly adapt your Gran Turismo for astrophotography today!

The Gran Turismo 71 and 81 line of telescopes are equipped with optics capable of capturing larger targets like the North American Nebula and both the Heart and Soul Nebulas when paired with full-frame sensor cameras, or the Elephant's Trunk Nebula and California Nebula with APS-C sensors. To ensure you're capturing these stellar objects in corner-to-corner crisp and clear detail however you'll need a flattener that's up to the task, which is where this corrective optic from William Optics comes in! Designed for the Gran Turismo line, this Flat GT connects easily to your GT71 or GT81 WIFD*, providing an M48x0.75 camera connection for connecting your astrophotography imaging equipment and accessories. With a 44 mm image circle, this flattener can provide cameras up to full-frame with well-corrected and stellar views!

*Please Note: The William Optics GT81 WIFD requires the M92 4" Focal Extender (sold separately) for use with this flattener.

A Powerful Gran Turismo Upgrade!

If you're looking to turn William Optics' excellent line of FPL-53 glass powered Gran Turismo scopes into astrophotography powerhouses, then it is hard to pass on this dedicated GT two element flattener!

Adapt Your GT
The William Optics 1x Flattener for GT71 and 81 telescopes takes their premium triplet APO optics and optimizes them for the astrophotographer. Compatible with the GT71 and GT81 WIFD (separate adapter required) models, this provides correction up to full-frame sensors without impacting the telescope's original field of view. Adapt your Gran Turismo for astrophotography with this dedicated option from William Optics!
