The Astronomik H-alpha 12nm MaxFR XT Clip-Filter EOS R XL (8h11u9) is ideal for imaging hydrogen nebulae from light-polluted and dark observation sites. This filter provides total suppression of emission lines from artificial sources such as mercury and sodium-vapor from street lamps, making it an excellent light pollution filter! Thanks to the high optical quality of the Astronomik MaxFR substrate, this extra thin clip-filter delivers sharp and crisp star shapes all the way to the edge of the frame. This filter is made to Astronomik's exacting standards and is guaranteed to provide 90% transmission or more at H-Alpha (656nm). The exact transmission ratings may vary between each filter, and the specific T-Max will be listed on the filter case.

Astronomik XT Clip Filter System
The new Astronomik XT-Filters are specifically designed for astrophotography with wide-angle lenses, delivering sharp and crisp star images all the way to the edges of the image, even when using very short focal length lenses. The new Astronomik XT-Filters are coated on an extremely thin substrate of only 0.3mm thickness, significantly reducing aberrations and correcting stars shapes in the outermost corners of the image. Despite the reduced thickness, the Astronomik XT-Filters maintain the highest optical quality: they are finely polished, free of any striae, residual stresses, and bubbles, and are suitable for the most advanced imaging applications. The Astronomik XT-Filters are manufactured using the same durable coating technology as all Astronomik filters. They are extremely scratch-resistant, unaffected by high humidity, and do not degrade over time.
