Baader Planetarium Nosepiece Adapter with M42 T-2 male thread on the eyepiece/camera side and a 1.25" barrel on the telescope side. Includes safety kerfs and has an insertion length of 28 mm. Contributes 1.5 mm to the optical path. Threaded for all 1.25" filters, this adapter contains 3 mm long T-2 thread, ideal for modern CMOS cameras.
The main difference between contemporary camera models and those of an older vintage is the fact that the optical heights of the former tend to be much shorter in order to be adaptable to an ever expanding assortment of telescope designs. Because of this, all new T-2 and M48 components from Baader have been developed with regards to the updated 3 mm T-2 standard instead of the previous 5 mm standard.
