Baader Extension Tube Adapter for astrophotography using wide M48 threaded cameras and accessories. Contributes an extra 15 mm of spacing to the optical path. On the telescope side, this aluminum-constructed spacer features M48 internal thread with 3.5 mm depth, while on the eyepiece/camera side, M48 external thread with 3 mm depth can be found.
Since they require the ability to mount to a broad range of telescope designs, modern cameras frequently have very short optical heights compared to older models. With a 5 mm thread depth, the old T-2 standard, achieving this is extremely difficult. In order to keep up with this progression, new T-2 and M48 accessories from Baader are all designed according to this updated 3 mm standard.
