Designed to replace the visual back common to 2" SCT threaded scopes, the Baader Planetarium 2" Clicklock Clamp for SCTs will give you a secure, centered, and fast connection point for your visual gear. Where typical visual backs feature a single thumbscrew to clamp your equipment in place, this 2" equipment connection features a solid bronze compression ring that is cinched down with three clamping surfaces. This system ensures that your expensive and delicate equipment is securely held in place without sag or marring the finish. Clever engineering allows you to loosen and tighten the clamp with a short 20° throw; with audible ratcheting feedback and visual markers to help make attaching equipment fast and safe. Mechanical advantage built into the clamp allows you to apply secure tension without using excessive force—aided further by a large rubber grip and metal lever. Superb Clamp Design
Baader's ClickLock design gives
you an improved experience over standard thumbscrew only or thumbscrew and
compression ring designs. With three evenly adjusted clamping points and a
bronze compression ring, this design ensures your gear is centered,
sag-free, and secure. Engaging this enhanced clamping mechanism is improved
as well, requiring just a 20° twist of the large rubber grip or throw of
the metal lever. Combined with the visual markers and audible feedback, this
makes it quick and easy to remove and install your gear. Not only does this
clamping mechanism eliminate some of the uncertainty and tedium that comes
along with some thumbscrew adjustments, it also adds protection compared to
compression ring-less systems which can scratch your delicate gear.
Compatibility
The Baader Planetarium 2" Clicklock
Clamp for SCT is compatible with 2" SCT threaded telescopes. This includes
(but is not limited to) the Celestron's C5/ 5SE, C6/ 6SE, C8/ 8SE/ 8"
EdgeHD, and C9.25. Simply remove any visual back and thread the ClickLock in
its place to upgrade your equipment swapping capabilities! Once installed
