Each soft case is made of genuine 1000 denier Dupont Cordura nylon. This material is much more resistant to abrasions, tears, scuffs, and punctures than regular nylon, providing superior strength and water resistance. The wide nylon straps wrap all the way around the case to ensure that your telescope or mount is secure. These straps also include slip-resistant rubber grips for your comfort.

The DFB soft carrying cases include custom die-cut foam designed to protect your telescope all the way around. The high-density foam casing cushions and protects your optical tube assembly, preventing dings, scratches, and damage during transit. The DFB series features cases for Celestron NexStar 8SE and 8i as well the Meade 8” LX90. The Meade case comes in midnight blue, while the Celestron cases come in blue or orange. These cases are ideal if you no longer have the original foam casing for your telescope or if the original foam casing has become damaged.
If you do still have your OTA or mount’s original foam casing, consider Sirius’ SCB soft cases. These lightweight cases are designed to work with the original foam casing. Simply slip the foam casing in this durable nylon bag and you are ready to transport your scope or mount worry-free. The SCB models work with the Meade LX200/50 (8”, 10”, or 12”), Celestron 4 or 5 SE telescopes as well as the Celestron VX mount. All Meade cases have been dyed blue, while Celestron cases give you the option between an orange or blue case.
