Celestron Night Vision Red Headlamp
Save Your Night-Vision With Celestron!
From Celestron comes the Night Vision Red Headlamp, a light designed for the astronomer! With only dim red lighting modes that can last up to 100 hours, this is the perfect companion for your astronomy kit. Stop making due with night-vision-ruining white light options and DIY solutions, streamline your setup and star chart process with Celestron!
Bright and white lights are the enemy of your eyes' dark adaptation, resetting your night-vision with even just brief exposure. This can be a problem with some commonly available headlamps, as even the dimmest settings on these options are still white—and while dual white-red light models can be found, you may find yourself cycling through the bright white options to get to red or accidentally switching to white. It is for this reason that Celestron built the Night Vision Red Headlamp with only dim red light modes, eliminating the chance you'll reset your night vision and the night vision of others with an errant button press! This has been built into a tilting, comfortable elastic headband mounted, platform powered for hours and hours on end with just two AAA batteries!
Dedicated Astronomy Illumination Solution
The Celestron Night Vision Red Headlamp has been designed with a number of thoughtful features to elevate your astronomy illumination experience above common headlamp options. Read on to see what makes this light the perfect companion for your kit!
Four Night Vision Safe Modes
The Celestron Night
Vision Red Headlamp comes with four red, dark vision adaptation safe, modes:
Low, High, Blink, and SOS. Low provides maximum night vision protection,
providing just 1 lumen of light; perfect for reading star charts when your
gear is already set up. High increases the brightness to a still
night-vision safe 4 lumens, which can help with more complex tasks such as
setting up your gear without ruining your dark adaptation. Rounding things
out, blink can be used to signal other star party goers at distance, and SOS
provides you with a way to signal an emergency in a pinch!
Long Lasting Power
With just two AAA batteries this
headlamp provides multiple sessions worth of illumination! Featuring 100
hours in Low and 25 hours in High, the Celestron Night Vision Red Headlamp
has your observation session, star party, or trip to a dark site handily
covered. When you finally exhaust this headlamp's power reserve, more light
is just a quick AAA battery swap away - no need to remember charging cables!
Adjustable Comfort
This headlamp features an
adjustable elastic headband, ensuring you can find a setting that holds the
headlamp in place without pinching. The Celestron Night Vision Red Headlamp
also features 45° of adjustability, allowing you to better angle this
for your star chart viewing or gear setup needs— or to ensure your
light is pointing away from other observers' eyes!
