Looking for the ideal cooling solution for your StarSense Explorer 10" or 12" Dobsonian? This Celestron USB fan is not only incredibly convenient to use, but it's also the perfect tool to help you speed up the cooling of the primary mirror so it reaches the ambient outdoor temperature. This means you can get crisper, better-focused views quickly, giving you more time to observe!
The cooling fan from Celestron mounts directly to the rear cell of the Dobsonian OTA and is compatible with any USB power source, such as portable power tanks, AC wall adapters, and more! Once the primary mirror has been cooled, you can disconnect the fan's USB power source and utilize the integrated storage clip to keep it out of the way and keep your setup organized.
Compared to competing models, this cooling fan removes the need for a bulky 12V power cord or disposable batteries and uses less voltage while still providing better airflow and overall cooling performance.
The fan comes with a metal fan grill for protection against/protection for the moving fan blades.
Please Note: The Celestron USB Cooling fan is designed specifically for the 10" and 12" StarSense Explorer Dobsonians, but can also work with many other third-party Dobsonians and Newtonian Reflectors as long as they have a compatible fan mount: four M4 x 0.7 threaded holes in a square pattern with holes spaced 71.5 mm apart.
