Coronado 40 mm Double Stack Adapter Ring - AP185
This Coronado 40 mm Double Stack Adapter Ring is necessary to achieve a double stack configuration for the original 40 mm SolarMax Etalon (SM40). By attaching an additional etalon solar filter (not included) to your SolarMax telescope or compatible telescope and blocking filter (not included), the original .7 angstrom bandpass of the Hydrogen-Alpha filter is narrowed to .5 angstrom. This results in a more fine-grained view of our Sun's chromosphere, as well as increased visibility of many active features on the solar surface.
Please note: This adapter ring is only necessary to connect the Coronado SolarMax II 40 mm double stacking etalon to a Coronado or Coronado II 40 mm SolarMax etalon/ scope (SM40/ SMT40). This adapter is not required to integrate the SolarMax II 40 mm double stack etalon with the 40 mm SolarMax II or SolarMax III lines.
