This heavy-duty focuser features a self-centering compression system that evenly distributes pressure to the draw tube, ensuring a tight, secure fit. Its constant pressure eliminates flex, tilt, and picture shift while creating a strong foundation for an imaging system. The draw tube is moved by a helical rack-and-pinion system lubricated with marine-grade PTFE silicone for a smooth glide, maximum precision, and little backlash. The draw tube is long enough to do away with the need for extension tubes. The draw tube's inside is enclosed with many baffles that have a diameter of 3 inches to lessen the reflection.
Back Cell Adapter
The focuser is attached to Explore Scientific refractors with apertures ranging from 120mm to 140mm via a back cell adapter with no-tool knobs. Hex keys are not required for using the adapter's knobs, which can be turned by hand. This makes it simple to change the focuser's rotation while observation or imaging is still being done. The focuser's Teflon ring contributes to the rotation's smoothness.
