This Explore Scientific hybrid finder scope base works as a direct replacement finder base for all Explore Scientific telescopes. It allows the use of a wide range of other brand finder scopes as well. This finder base is designed to accept all legacy Explore Scientific finder scope brackets and mini-dovetail-type finder scope brackets, whether they be Vixen, Synta, and Celestron.
The finder scope base from Explore Scientific is made of all metal parts with a black anodized base and chrome plated screws. The design boasts safety stops to prevent the finder scope from sliding through, ultimately preventing falls when the attachment screws are loose.
On the left and right sides of the hybrid finder base, there are threaded holes that allow access to the attaching screws. Included with the base are bolts and screws for mounting the base to the OTA.
