- This sample is unbranded. It does not feature foam on the back 'wall' where the NexStar SE mount tripod sits, however the hard shell does still provide a solid layer of protection for this component. Included is a Celestron NexStar 6SE optical tube insert, which is preinstalled (see last picture). This can be removed to accommodate an 8SE optical tube. The hand controller must be stowed in the mount; the accessory cutouts do not accommodate it.

This is hard case provides protection for the entire Celestron NexStar 6SE and 8SE telescope systems, with precise foam cutouts to cradle your optical tube, mount, hand controller, and tripod. The two-fold protection of thick, durable hard plastic shell and interior foam gives you peace of mind while stowing the system or bringing it on the go. With room for the entire system, transport to your observation location is simpler compared to other systems and cases that require you juggle multiple hard/soft cases. While this may seem daunting, this task is made easy with the grab handles and set of wheels. To provide a soft cradle for both the 6SE and 8SE optical tubes, this case comes with a removeable foam insert. 6SE's will fit in the case as it is shipped; 8SE users simply need to remove the cut-out from the optical tube slot (large compartment on the right side of the case) to make room for the larger optical tube.
