iOptron HAZ31 Alt-Azimuth Strain Wave Mount with Hand Controller
The HAZ31 Alt-Azimuth Joins the iOptron Strain Wave Gear Mount Family
This lightweight, compact, medium payload altiazimuth mount from iOptron is another great addition to their family of strain wave gear mounts! Weighing in at just over 8 pounds, the HAZ31 boasts an impressive medium-payload capacity of 31 pounds. Best of all, this mount handles its payload without the need of a counterweight and shaft!
The multi-position, dual Vixen/Losmandy saddle can be placed on the top or to the side of the mount and accommodate V- and D-style mounting hardware. This makes the HAZ31 uniquely suited to also accommodate binoculars.
Utilizing iOptron's strain wave gear technology for both right ascension (RA) and declination (DEC) movement allows for the exceptional weight to payload efficiency of the HAZ31. Made of an all-metal, black anodized and CNC machined body, the HAZ31 is sturdy and rugged. Additional features include an electronic friction brake and power down memory which allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo slew or continue tracking after an abrupt power loss. There's no need to realign and start from the beginning! Pair this with iOptron's "Level and Go" technology and it all adds up to a mount that is compact, powerful, and easy to use.
