iOptron SkyHunter Portable Alt-Azimuth GoTo System
The SkyHunter from iOptron is an ultra-compact AZ GoTo mount. Weighing less than 3 pounds, the SkyHunter supports a total payload of 11 pounds! This mount features four tracking rates: 1x (sidereal), 1/2x, solar, and lunar. All tracking rates work in the northern or southern hemispheres.
Control the SkyHunter with an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet, or with an optional 8410 hand controller (sold separately). With the built-in WiFi adapter, control the mount through ASCOM drivers, iOptron Commander, or Sky Safari.
The built-in, rechargeable Li-Poly battery allows for up to 10 hours of continuous operation.
This package contains the SkyHunter mount in AZ configuration, stainless steel counterweight shaft, 3 lbs counterweight, and miniUSB charging cable. The additional clearance provided by the pier extension prevents attached equipment from contacting the tripod legs.
