QHY QHY533-M Cooled Monochrome Back-Illuminated 9MP CMOS Camera
Full of Functionality for Stunning Photos!
The QHY533M features a fantastic photo sensor with solid supporting tech to give you stellar shots! With this blend of superb design and imaging specs, you can capture wispy nebulosity and striking galactic spiral in impressive detail. Make this might mono marvel the star of your system today!
For stellar sensitivity and detail, monochrome sensor technology puts you a step ahead; and with Sony's Back Side Illuminated IMX533 and QHY's top technology this camera lets you experience this in a big way! With incredible full-well depth, great dynamic range, and HD resolution, this camera's sensor will reveal nebulae and distant galaxies in incredible contrast and detail. QHY has paired this sensor with a superb cooling, anti-dew, and a generous image buffer to ensure that you can take full advantage of the powerful sensor. With an 11.32mm x 11.31mm footprint and 3.76μm pixels, the QHY533M is an easy match for scopes with even small well corrected image circles; and the square aspect ratio gives you a more straightforward framing experience. All this adds up to a fantastic astrophoto camera full of functionality!
Straightforward Framing, Feature Rich Photography
The QHY QHY533-M Cooled Monochrome Back-Illuminated 9MP CMOS Camera gives you easy framing, powerful performance, and superb supporting technology for astronomy shots that shine!
Stellar Square Sensor
The QHY533M features Sony's
excellent IMX533 for its fantastic imaging foundation. With an 11.31mm
square design, framing is easier to manage allowing you to spend less time
planing and more time imaging! 3.76 μm pixels give a favorable "/pixel
match with a wide variety of scopes, which when combined with the forgiving
image circle requirements of the 1"-Type sensor make this a perfect pairing
with a plethora of scopes! These average sized pixel pack a punch, with an
impressive 58ke- full-well depth and 14-bit ADC! They feature a low read
noise as well, with 1.3-3.4 e-, and a 0.0005 e- per pixel/sec dark current.
This camera is a monochrome variant requiring a bit more dedication to
create color images, but provides incredible sensitivity with a over 90%
peak QE for stellar results. With 3008x3008 9MP resolution (3008x3028
including overscan), you'll be rendering these incredible results in high
resolution for spectacular definition of your astrophotos!
Solid Supporting Technology
QHY uses the excellent IMX533 sensor as a springboard, not content with
simply giving you a powerful photography chip. Ensuring your images have low
noise and glow artifacts, QHY has paired this sensor with a cooling system
and glow suppression tech. A two-stage thermoelectric cooler can bring the
sensor down -35°C below its ambient temperature with longer exposures,
and -30°C for more demanding, fast framerate, applications. Anti
Amp-Glow technology suppresses the glow associated with sensor circuitry for
clear images and easier calibration; and Anti-Dew can be engaged to suppress
some of the degradation moisture can introduce in certain environments.
Chamber moisture can also be mitigated via the drying port with the included
drying tube and desiccant (not included). Speedy USB 3.0 tech is paired with
a massive 1 GB DDR3 image buffer for smooth, reliable, and snappy data
transfer!
Power and Ports
The QHY533M brings you a
straightforward set of connections for a no-nonsense system setup. Powering
this camera is simple and secure, with an included 12V power supply and a
threaded camera side power input. For high-speed data transfer, QHY has
designed this camera with a USB B 3.0 port (USB B to A cable included). For
users invested in QHY's ecosystem, this camera additionally features a CFW
port for streamlined control of compatible accessories.
Adapt to Your System
The QHY533M comes with QHY's F1
adapter kit for creating your imaging train. Included is: 8 mm M42-M48
adapter, three 3 mm spacers, a 10 mm spacer, with eight 23 mm M3 screws.
Additionally an M42-2" adapter is included to allow for easy installation in
compression ring/ click-lock builds. The camera comes equipped with a
C-Mount internal threaded and M42 external threaded connection plate, which
can be loosened with three screw to adjust your sensor rotation without
changing the position of the rest of your imaging train. For added support
or imaging with a camera lens attached, the QHY533 also comes equipped with
a tripod foot threaded for the industry standard 1/4"x20 as well as M4 and
M3!
