The high focal length seen through the Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCTs) and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes (Mak) can make focusing difficult due to the image wobble that occurs. Adding an electronic focuser, such as this Rigel Systems WiFi-nFocus Focuser Motor, streamlines this process! Software works in conjunction with the internal motors to assist you in bringing your SCT into sharp focus. This especially handy during long star gazing sessions where changes in temperature shifts the focal point of your optics. Whether conducting visual astronomy or astrophotography, the WiFi-nFocus ensures views and images brimming with clarity!

Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, control your telescope’s focus from your smart phone, tablet, or any device that has access to a web browser! This WiFi-nFOCUS also comes standard with focusing buttons for a more hands-on approach. The compact size will not interfere with your SCT at high elevations, and the light weight design only adds a mere 0.35 lbs (160g) to your set up! Furnished with an internal gear-coupled motor, this WiFi-nFOCUS prevents binding of the focuser shaft. The motor easily declutches and offers the ability to manually focus with the focusing knobs if desired. An included USB to 12V DC power cable makes powering this Rigel Systems WiFi-nFocus Focuser Motor convenient and accessible and allows fast focusing of up to 300 degrees per second (4300 steps per revolution). Readied with an included temperature sensor, monitor the surrounding temperatures and determine the best times to perform the focus routine.

Designed for Your Celestron Telescope!

Utilizing gears to drive your SCT’s or Mak's focusing shaft, this Rigel Systems WiFi-nFocus Focuser Motor takes the place of your focusing knob. To install, remove the rubber grip over the focusing shaft. The focus motor, gear kit, and bracket will then slide over the focusing shaft. You can then replace the rubber grip, connect the WiFi-nFOCUS to the focus motor with the supplied Voice cable, then supply power through an external 12V DC. This kit is tailored to fit Celestron SCTs and is compatible with all 6”-14” SCTs made since 2006. Based on your telescope’s aperture, the correctly sized gear kit and bracket will be sent to you!

Featuring integrated WiFi, this Rigel Systems WiFi-nFOCUS allows you to connect your iOS/Android smartphone or tablet for full control of your telescope’s focus. Simply download the GCnSTEP app, then connect to the WiFi signal broadcasted by the WiFi-nFOCUS. You can also operate this focuser through a web browser on your smartphone, tablet, or PC. Fully ASCOM compliant, utilize your favorite image capture software with this device. The included focusing buttons on the WiFi-nFOCUS turns the gears to adjust your focus, and includes a speed dial to hone in on the sharpness. Wanting to quickly adjust focus after installation? Loosen the thumb screws on the mounting bracket to disengage the gears, and focus using the focus knobs.
