Equipped with a removable DEC assembly, quickly turn this mount into a powerful star tracker for sweeping wide field shots. When it comes to mount operation, the included SynScan hand controller comes preloaded with a whopping 42,900+ objects and offers full control of your mount. Or, you may also utilize your favorite third party software through the USB port on the control box or the hand controller. Sky-Watcher has crafted this mount with a removable DEC assembly for single-axis tracking. Simply loosen the screws on the DEC assembly to remove it, then install the included star tracker adapter. This attachment is compatible with the Star Adventurer L-bracket and ball head adapter, providing a sturdy base for your DSLR and lens. No need to choose between a powerful GoTo mount or a portable star tracker, this Sky-Watcher EQM-35 Pro offers the best of both worlds! Please note: While in star-tracker mode, the GoTo functionality is inoperative, as tracking/slewing is only performed in one axis.

High Performance Mechanics and 22 lb. Payload Capacity
This EQM-35 Pro features high precision hybrid stepper motors with a 1.8° step angle and 64 micro steps, all-metal gearing in both axes, and a large 3.6” 180 tooth worm gear. This powerful internal gearing system delivers a payload of 22 lbs. for support of small-to-medium-sized optical tube assemblies. The mount head itself weighs just 9.65 lbs., making this a highly capable GoTo system without the physical demand of heavier mounts! Track the stars, the Moon, and the Sun with the respective Sidereal, Lunar, and Solar tracking rates, and effortlessly find your target with the featured slew speeds of 1x up to 1000x. To enhance this mount’s tracking capabilities, Sky-Watcher has included permanent periodic error correction (PPEC) which can be activated with the hand controller or software.
Included SynScan Hand Controller
To assist you with your nights under the stars, Sky-Watcher has included the SynScan Hand Controller! This addition features a whopping 42,900+ objects within its database with complete Messier, NGC, IC, and SAO catalogs, as well as 25 user-defined objects, giving you the power to discover the cosmos. Effortlessly star align, select the perfect objects to observe, and even polar align your mount. If you’re wishing to control your mount with your PC, the onboard USB-B 2.0 port allows just this. This PC connection also offers a method to update this hand controller with any new firmware releases from Sky-Watcher. Please note: Sky-Watcher does not include a USB cable with their hand controller. We recommend the Apertura Braided USB 2.0 Cable.
Extensive Software Compatibility
Utilizing the USB port on the SynScan hand controller or the control box, connect this Sky-Watcher EQM-35 Pro to your PC for software control. The extensive SynScan Pro application for Windows is a great choice, as it offers functions such as star alignment, tracking management, GoTo commands, and plenty more! This Sky-Watcher mount can also be operated using your favorite ASCOM-supported third party software such as N.I.N.A, Sequence Generator Pro, and Astro Photography Tool, just to name a few. If you’re wanting to make your setup even more portable, the addition of the Sky-Watcher WiFi adapter (not included) allows you to control your mount with just your smartphone or tablet.
All of the Necessary Ports Included
This Sky-Watcher EQM-35 Pro mount is fitted with an external control box and features a variety of ports. The USB-B port allows computer connection, the ST4 guide port is useful for your guiding needs, and the hand controller port can be used with the included SynScan hand controller or a user-supplied Sky-Watcher WiFi adapter. Requiring a power input of DC11~16V 4A, you’ll also find a 12V power port, as well as a convenient on/off switch. The SynScan hand controller comes furnished with two additional ports as well: a multipurpose port and an additional USB-B port (if you wish to connect your mount to your computer through the hand controller instead). This multipurpose port offers use with external accessories such as a GPS module, and can even control the shutter release of your DSLR.
Various Polar Alignment Methods
This mount comes equipped with an internal polar scope to make polar alignment a breeze. Important note: upon receiving your mount, you may notice the internal reticle may not be properly calibrated with the RA axis. Therefore, you must rotate the RA axis until the crosshairs form and perfectly up and down “+” shape to assist you with accurate Polaris positioning. If you wish to polar align a different way, the included SynScan hand controller features a polar alignment routine. You may also utilize your favorite third party software to assist you with alignment.
Comes With A Sturdy Steel Tripod
Weighing in at a total of 12.5 lbs. and featuring 1.75” thick steel legs, this tripod provides a solid base for your equipment. The legs are easily adjustable and feature locking knobs, making it effortless to level. To enhance stability even more, Sky-Watcher has included a metal spreader bar to protect against the image-destroying effects of wind and vibration. This spreader bar also doubles as an accessory tray to help keep you organized.
