The SM Pro offers comprehensive power distribution capabilities and includes a built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver for highly accurate location and time services which result in the reliable operations of your equipment, no matter where you are. Equipped with 64GB of Class 10 MicroSD storage and 4GB of memory, you will experience both high transfer speed and lots of storage for your images. The StellarMate is based on years of field research by both amateur and professional astronomers from around the world.

StellarMate Pro Provides Complete Control of the Imaging Process!

Are you looking for a way to control your camera, mount, filter wheel, electronic focuser or DSLR from your smartphone or tablet? StellarMate Pro offers complete control of everything from your observatory and dome to polar alignment, auto guiding, robotic operation, image processing and more. Just connect your equipment to StellarMate Pro and control them from anywhere at any time! Check out just some of the features of the amazing StellarMate Pro below:

WiFi and HotSpot Capabilties
The passive GPS and WiFi antennas of the StellarMate Pro are optimized to provide high gain even in noisy environments. Reliable communication between your SM Pro controller and your smart device or PC/Mac is critical for the operation of the unit. StellarMate Pro is smart about it's WiFi connections! As long as you are near enough to connect to your own WiFi network, StellarMate Pro will utilize that connection, but once you are away from your WiFi, StellarMate Pro automatically switches to HotSpot mode and uses it's own dual-band WiFi so you never lose connectivity!

Real Time Live Stacking
With StellarMate Pro and Ekos software, you can toggle Live Stacking while imaging right from your iOS/Android tablet. Watch in real time as more frames are added, increasing the signal to noise ratio. See the difference as fully automated background removal and contrast adjustments take place on the fly!

Connecting to Your StellarMate Pro
StellarMate has designed the StellarMate Pro control units with three different methods to connect and control your SM Pro unit. First, the StellarMate Pro is a mini computer, meaning you can operate your unit by connecting a monitor, using an HDMI cord, and a mouse/keyboard directly to the body of the StellarMate. While possible, this method is generally not recommended since the StellarMate is usually mounted on the telescope. The second method is to operate the StellarMate Pro remotely using the External GPS, WiFi antennas, and the StellarMate app on your smartphone or tablet. The app is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. StellarMate recommends using a tablet or iPad with a screen size of 10" or more to get the best experience. The third way to operate you StellarMate Pro control unit is to connect it to your Wondows, Mac, or Linux computer using a WiFi, LAN, or WAN connection. Once connected, you can operate it through the Ekos astrophotography tool that includes a mosaic planner and scheduler function.

Power and Port Options
The body of the StellarMate Pro includes several different connection ports so you can power a wide variety of user-supplied accessories. It can power up to four 12V DC devices, two 12V Dew Heaters, and one adjustable voltage output ranging from 3-9V. More specifically, the included ports are as follows: four 12VDC Outputs, two dew heaters, one 3-9VDC variable voltage output, fourUSB3.0 ports, and two USB2.0 ports. There is a multi-purpose AUX port designed to support environmental sensors and future accessories, including observatory relay controls. With a dedicated stepper controller capable of commanding up to NMEA 17 stepper motors, you can directly control many focuser stepper motors. Please Note: To power all connected devices, you will need a 12V @10A DC regulated power supply (not included).

Recommended Accessories
As mentioned above, you will need a 12V @ 10A DC regulated power supply. This is not included, but you can purchase the power supply separately. It is also suggested that you purchase the Ikarus Universal Losmandy/Vixen Adapter and StellarMate Pro Temperature and Humidity Sensor separately.
