There’s something almost magical about Barlow lenses and focal extenders—they quietly double or even triple your telescope’s magnification without changing your eyepiece collection. Adding craters, rilles, and shadowed valleys to a regular lunar image only requires one little optical technology component. This type of lens magnifies and improves the clarity of the telescope by elongating the optical path. The ED (extra-low dispersion) components that are included in the paid editions improve contrast, lessen reflections, and provide clear, chromatic aberration-free photos. With a Barlow, users can turn every ordinary observing session into a spectacular adventure through space and time, whether attempting to split a tricky double star, photographing planetary detail in Jupiter's cloud belts, or framing the sharp brightness of the lunar horizon.
Celestron 2.5X Luminos 2" Barlow Lens
Use the multipurpose Celestron 2" Luminos Barlow Lens for more powerful magnification when stargazing. Its 4-element completely multicoated lens assembly guarantees excellent field flatness and minimal chromatic aberration. Threads can accommodate 2" eyepiece filters, a sturdy grip makes it comfortable to use even in cold weather or while wearing gloves, and brass compression rings ensure a solid attachment of the eyepiece. A 2" filter can be threaded onto the lens.
Baader Planetarium 1.25" VIP 2X Barlow
The Baader Planetarium VIP Modular Barlow is quite adaptable. It is a 2X photo-visual system with modular components for different visual and image requirements. It sports an apochromatic field flattening design, a 24-mm clear aperture, and a 7-layer multicoating lens. Every 1 1/4" eyepiece or focuser will fit the Barlow
Explore Scientific 2" 2x Focal Extender
The Starizona Filter Slider 2" to 1.25" Filter Adapter allows seamless switching between 2" and 1.25" filters, offering enhanced flexibility for astrophotographers. Its sturdy design ensures secure filter placement, preventing any misalignment. Ideal for those with different filter sizes, it simplifies the filter-changing process during imaging sessions.
Baader Planetarium Q-Barlow (HT-Multicoated)
Every 1.25" eyepiece barrel, focuser, etc., is compatible with the Baader 2.25X Q 1.25" Barlow Lens. The Classic Q-Barlow is designed to work well with the Classic Eyepieces; when used together, it gives a 2.25X magnification that provides a consistent set of focal lengths. To ensure optimal transmission and clarity, the optics of this Barlow have been coated with Baader's HT multicoatings. To further expand the range of available focal lengths, the lens cell can be unscrewed from the 1.25-inch barrel and put into any of the eyepieces, resulting in a 1.3X magnification. Another option is to thread it straight onto the 1.25-inch Q-Turret barrel, which will provide 2.25X magnification with all four eyepieces.
Celestron Omni Series 1.25" 2x Barlow Lens
With the Celestron 2x Omni 1.25" Barlow Lens, a high-quality magnifying barlow, the magnification of the eyepieces measuring 1.25 inches is increased by a factor of two. In addition to having a low profile, this Barlow features a completely multicoated optical structure and darkened lens edges, making it both economically priced and possessing several other desirable characteristics. By first inserting this Barlow lens into the barrel of your 1.25-inch focuser and then inserting the eyepiece of your choice into the external end of the Barlow, you will be able to experience an image that is magnified by a factor of two.
