The Odyssey Smart Telescope from UniStellar!

UniStellar has expanded their line of smart telescopes with a new model: the Odyssey! This smart telescope is fully automated and offers great versatility for views of galaxies, nebulae, our Moon, and planets. With two advancements unique to this model, the Odyssey enhances your astrophotography experience even more. Stellar Autofocus provides quick and precise focusing at the click of a button, and Multi-Depth Technology offers image optimization of any type of celestial object! This technology utilizes carefully crafted imaging algorithms, resolution manipulation with binning, and object-specific data processing for stunning images of any target you may choose.

Similar to the eVscope and eVscope eQuinox, the Odyssey includes a reflector-style telescope with incredible light gathering power. An aperture of 85mm, focal length of 320mm, and high resolution 3.4MP sensor captures beautiful detail on the wide range of targets available. Thanks to the ingenuity from UniStellar, this Odyssey can be used from anywhere in the world. Weighing just over 14lbs, this grab and go system can easily be transported to your next star party or camping trip. Reintroducing their trademark Deep Dark Technology, UniStellar has equipped the Odyssey with high performance capabilities in light polluted areas. Wanting to put the data you capture toward something meaningful? With the UniStellar app, any backyard astronomer can contribute to professional research through the numerous citizen science programs available!

With the Multi-Depth Technology from UniStellar, the Imaging Possibilities Are Endless!

With traditional telescopes, limitations are set on the types of astrophotography it can conduct based on the features presented. One model may excel at deep space imaging, while another may be more advantageous in planetary photography. Understanding this, UniStellar has crafted the Odyssey with Multi-Depth Technology, an innovation that provides optimal imaging conditions for any type of celestial object being imaged! The integrated software alters certain aspects of this smart telescope for adaptation of planets, the Moon, or deep-sky objects by adjusting the image processing techniques or the sensor’s resolution. By conforming to the incoming light, enjoy excellent performance on objects such as Jupiter, the Moon, the Orion Nebula, and many more!

Prime Optics Powered by Cutting-Edge Technology!

Making the UniStellar Odyssey a choice smart telescope is the plethora of opportunities and aspects it provides. Whether that be through impressive optics, innovative software, or the possibility to make a difference, this feature packed telescope is perfect for any space enthusiast!

Large Aperture and High Sensitivity
Utilizing mirrors for photon collection, this reflector style smart telescope has an aperture of 85mm and focal length of 320mm. The resulting fast f/3.8 focal ratio combined with the 3.4MP sensor allows for bright photos filled with clarity. Enjoy framing countless celestial objects within the 34 x 45 arcmin field of view and 17.2 limiting magnitude!

Control the Odyssey Through the UniStellar App
Turning your smart device into a space control center is the UniStellar app available for iOS and Android. Everything you need for a successful night of imaging is featured within this app, such as extensive databases, focus control, and automated GoTo navigation. Their easy-to-use interface allows you to select a target in no time and provides insight into the objects you are viewing for a fun and educational experience.

Automated Clarity with Stellar Autofocus
One of the most important aspects in astrophotography is achieving ideal focus for sharp and clear images. Finding the perfect focus can prove to be challenging, especially for beginners. Also, shifts in temperature throughout imaging sessions causes a change in the focal point of your optics and requires periodic refocusing throughout the night. Acknowledging this, UniStellar has furnished the Odyssey with Stellar Autofocus technology to take the hard work out of focusing! By analyzing star size, this autofocuser shifts the sensor into the focal plane of the optics using internal motors. The result is effortless focus in no time!

Image From the City with the Included Deep Dark Technology!
Understanding dark skies aren’t accessible to everyone, UniStellar has crafted their Deep Dark Technology to help combat the negative effects of light pollution seen within the captured frames. This powerful software analyzes the signal collected and can distinguish the light from celestial objects as opposed to that of light pollution. After this examination, this technology then adjusts the image to remove the bright background, leavening behind a crisp, highly detailed image of the celestial body. The result is sharper images with high contrast and bright signal!

Lightweight and Portable
Breaking down into only two units, the tripod and the OTA/mount, this portable 14.3lb system allows you to engage with the universe from any location. Also, the Odyssey emits its own WiFi signal for connection to your smart device without the need for internet, making it perfect for traveling to remote dark-sky areas! No external power source is needed, as a built-in, rechargeable Li-ion battery allows continuous imaging for 5 hours.

Citizen Science - There's a Program Just For You!
Working closely with organizations like NASA and the SETI Institute, UniStellar offers you the chance to make a difference with the images you capture through your Odyssey. After enrolling into their scientific program through the UniStellar app, the data you capture is then supplied to professional astronomers at the SETI Institute. They analyze the collected signal to aid in their research of numerous different subjects. You can choose to help in programs such as planetary defense, exoplanets, comets, asteroids, and cosmic cataclysms. Thanks to UniStellar, there’s an opportunity to engage in citizen science for any backyard astronomer!
