The Environmental Computerized Controller v2 (ECCO2) by PrimaLuceLab is designed to work in conjunction with your EAGLE control unit to automate the management of dew heaters during long exposure astrophotography. By connecting this controller to your EAGLE control unit via USB Type-C, the ECCO2 will monitor the microclimate of your astrophotography setup and adjust the dew heaters attached to the EAGLE accordingly, in order to prevent condensation.
The ECCO2 monitors the environmental variables of temperature, humidity, and pressure with the help of two included temperature probes (supports up to 3 total external sensors). Pressure and humidity sensors are built into the body of the unit. Together, these measurements are used to calculate the dew point and automatically adjust the power of the EAGLE's dew heaters to avoid condensation of the optics. The ECCO2 includes an ASCOM driver, enabling its use with third party applications and the Windows 10 OS.
Compatible with the EAGLE2, EAGLE3, and EAGLE4 control units. Through its ASCOM driver, the ECCO2 can also be used as an external environmental monitor with any Windows 10 device.
Installation of the ECCO2 is simple, and can be installed on any Vixen-style finder shoe on any telescope. This environmental computerized controller was designed as a separate, external device from the EAGLE control unit to maintain precise environmental readings without being influenced by the small heat signature of the EAGLE unit. The result is highly accurate environmental readings and dew point calculations.
Made of red anodized 6160 T6 CNC-machined aluminum for high performance and light weight.
