William Optics ZenithStar 61mm APO Refractor - Gold

If you'd like to flatten the field when doing photography through the Z61, this field flattener, made specifically for the ZenithStar 61, will do the trick. It produces an image circle of 43 mm and presents M48 threads on the camera side. You provide the appropriate T-ring or adapter to mount your camera or DSLR.

The William Optics UniGuide Scope has an aperture of 32 mm and will match your Gold ZenithStar 61 perfectly. The back of the guide scope has M42 threads, perfect for 1.25” guide cameras from ZWO or QHY. Simply slide the base of the UniGuide onto the saddle/handle of the Z61.

Make locating objects easier by mounting this sturdy red dot finder to the Z61. Because the William Optics RDF offers a choice of reticles, you can match them to the type of object you're viewing and then adjust the brightness to allow you to easily center the object in the finder’s reticle.

The Z61 is great for imaging, but it also makes a wonderful grab-and-go telescope for visual use! To use the scope visually, you’ll need a diagonal. You could go with a 1.25” model, but we are suggesting this 2” carbon fiber diagonal for its flexibility and quality. You can use standard 1.25” eyepieces, or take advantage of more light throughput with low power 2” models.

The Tele Vue 3-6 zoom eyepiece is so versatile! For the Z61 refractor, it will provide anywhere from 60X to 120X magnification. Simply twist the black barrel to zoom in and out until the object you are viewing is as close as you like while still remaining sharp to your eye. If you add a 2X Barlow, this zoom eyepiece will produce magnifications of 120X - 240X.

A 2X Barlow is one of the most popular telescope accessories available because it doubles the magnification of any eyepiece! Since this is a 2” 2X Barlow with a 1.25” adapter, it will work great with both 1.25” and 2” eyepieces, but does need a 2” diagonal or focuser to accommodate it’s larger 2” insert barrel.
