ZWO 5" Quad APO Refractor - Attach Your Camera & Start Imaging!

ZWO FF130 Quad RefractorClick to Enlarge Image

ZWO is well known for their superb astro-imaging cameras, but just wait till you get a look at their beautiful 130 mm Quadruplet Apochromatic Refractor! This air-spaced Quad refractor uses a 3 + 1 lens structure that contains two pieces of extra-low dispersion (ED) glass. This produces a flat field so you do not need a stand-alone flattener, which can be expensive! Because there is no need for a flattener, you do not have to worry about calculating it's back focal distance in addition to that of the scope and your adapters, making it much easier to add your accessories and start shooting! Of course, the spectacular optical design also all but eliminates chromatic aberration and produces images that are sharp and clear!

The ZWO 130 mm Quad Refractor has a focal length of 1000 mm and a focal ratio of f/7.7. While the field of view is still suitable for deep-sky objects, this telescope will perform amazingly well on the planets and larger DSO's!

Includes Four Adapters for Easy Camera Connection
The ZWO FF130 supports full frame & medium format cameras with a huge imaging circle of 60 mm. The spot diagram (see images) shows small and round stars, with a central RMS radius of 2 um. Included with the telescope are four different camera adapters (M48 (which accepts 2" filters), M86, M68 and M54). This telescope also works wonderfully well for visual use. It accepts standard diagonals and eyepieces, and has no trouble achieving perfect focus when viewing the universe with your own eyes.

Telescopic Lens Hood for Improved Contrast
The ZWO FF130 also includes really nice features like a telescopic lens hood that can be locked down with thumbscrews should you wish to keep it from sliding. You can slide it back against the body for storage and then slide it out to accomplish protection against dew as well as contrast reduction due to light glancing off of the optics when you are observing or imaging.

A detachable tube ring in beautiful anodized red looks great and matches any ZWO accessories or cameras you may own. The cradle ring is designed to be removed or reattached quickly and easily.
