The Perfect Guiding Companion!
Engineered for performance and ease of use, the ZWO F/4 Mini Guide Scope delivers crisp, pinpoint stars for precise guiding. Its high-quality optics, hassle-free camera compatibility, and intuitive focusing make it an essential companion for any astrophotographer. Discover why this compact guide scope is a favorite among astrophotographers, details below!
Let's Talk Optics
This ZWO Mini Guide Scope features a focal length of 120 mm and an aperture of 30 mm. This makes it suitable to pair with telescopes including short-to-medium focal lengths for optimal guiding performance. Its cemented internal lens assembly ensures long-term optical alignment, while fully multi-coated optics boost light transmission and reduce reflections. This results in sharp, high-contrast images of guide stars, even under various sky conditions. The 30 mm aperture gathers ample light, allowing you to resolve a variety of guide stars, even in less crowded regions of the night sky.
Versatile Camera Connection
There are two convenient options for attaching your camera. One method is to insert a camera equipped with a 1.25” nosepiece and lock it in place using the included thumb screws. Alternatively, you can thread your camera directly onto the M42x0.75 threads located at the back of the guide scope. This guide scope is fully compatible with all ZWO ASI cameras, and with the addition of a suitable T-ring (not included), you can also mount a DSLR.
Effortless Focusing
Once your camera is attached, either using the included thumb screws or the M42 threads, you can achieve focus by rotating the front section of the objective lens! Continue adjusting until the stars appear sharp and clear. When optimal focus is reached, lock it in place by tightening the red locking ring.
