If you’re worried about your imaging train colliding into your tripod, the ZWO 200 mm Pier Extension is the perfect solution! This pier extension adds 200 mm to the top of your tripod, providing increased clearance for your imaging train. The PE200 is designed for use with the ZWO AM5 mount, though can be used with other mounts with the correct fittings and/or adapters. It is compatible with the ZWO TC-40 tripod, 1.75” iOptron and Sky-Watcher tripods, and the 2” Celestron AVX tripod.
Made from aircraft-grade aluminum, this pier extension is highly resistant against temperature shifts and wear and tear. Demonstrating this exceptional durability, the ZWO PE200 features a 110 lb. payload capacity. This gives you confidence that even your heaviest gear is safe atop this ZWO pier extension! ZWO TC40 Carbon Fiber Connection
Connecting the PE200 pier extension to your ZWO TC40 Tripod is quick and simple: (1) insert the PE200 into the TC40, (2) tighten the locking knobs, (3) attach the AM5 to the pier extension, and finally, (4) secure it in place by tightening the locking knobs found on the top of the PE200. You’re now ready to add your gear!
Sky-Watcher Tripod Connection
This ZWO pier extension is also compatible with 1.75” tripods from Sky-Watcher. To attach to your Sky-Watcher tripod, you will (1) take off the silver plate from the pier extension, (2) add the included Sky-Watcher adapter plate in its place and tighten the three screws, (3) insert onto your tripod, and (4) attach this pier extension to your tripod by screwing in the M10 locking knob.
iOptron Tripod Connection
To install the ZWO PE200 to your iOptron 1.75” tripod, follow these simple steps: (1) remove the silver head plate from the pier extension, (2) add the pier extension to your iOptron tripod, and (3) secure it in place with the two included M6*25 screws. You’re now set to add your equipment!
