Allowing astroimages to include any 2” threaded filters in their imaging train, taking their images to a whole new level! The Gen 2 includes heightened protections against light leaks. This is critical during long exposure astrophotography. The lock screw, and strong magnets, hold the filter drawer eliminates tightly together ensuring no stray light.
The ZWO Gen 2 Filter Drawer securely holds your favorite 2” filters, and seamlessly integrates into your imaging train with its M48 telescope-side threads and M42 camera-side threads. Also included is a M48-M42 adapter for use with a wide range of equipment. With its versatile design and robust construction, this ZWO M42 Filter Drawer is a must-have within your astronomy toolkit!

The Nuts and Bolts
When threaded within your imaging train, ZWO has designed this filter drawer to be 21 mm in width, a convenient thickness for finding the correct backspacing distance for your telescope. On the telescope side of this filter drawer, you’ll find M48 x 0.75 female threads, and on the camera side, M42 x 0.75 threads reside. If you have equipment you’d like to attach on either side that doesn’t meet these requirements, simply install the included M48-M42 adapter! The filter holder itself features M48 x 0.75 female threads to secure your 2” filters in place.
