While the existing Duo Band filter built into the SeeStar offers a good way to boost contrast on nebulae, it can be a bit too aggressive for broadband images. With the Apertura 2" Filter Holder for SeeStar Telescopes you no longer have to make do with the the built in filter; you can choose the filter profile that is right for you! Manufactured from black oxide coated ASI430 martensitic stainless steel, which has large quantities of ferrite, making it magnetic and with M48 threading, this holder securely and smoothly accepts virtually every 2" astronomy filter on the market today. Connecting the Apertura filter holder to your SeeStar S30 is a breeze as well: simply thread your filter of choice into the Apertura 2" Filter Holder, connect it to front of the SeeStar's front objective just like you would with the stock solar filter, and your smart telescope is ready to go. Incorporating this filter holder into your Seestar setup does not change the control or function of your Seestar, so you can proceed as you normally would and enjoy your enhanced view into the night sky!

The duo-band filter built into the ZWO SeeStar S30 smart telescope features a 20nm Ha band and a 30nm OIII band. While this does a good job at giving deep sky images a boost, it can be less than optimal for some targets, forcing you to choose between either a less suitable filtering profile or no filtering at all! With the Apertura 2" Filter Holder you don't have to settle any longer. Choose the 2" imaging filter that's best for your seeing conditions and goals. The filter holder is notched to allow the wide field camera to be used still, while allowing for ample purchase when threading and unthreading 2” filters.
