Apertura 48 mm Nikon Wide T Ring

You can take amazing images of celestial objects with your Nikon D-Series DSLR, but first you'll need to attach it to a camera adapter in order to use your camera and telescope for through-the-lens astrophotography. That is where the Apertura 48 mm Nikon T Ring comes in! This Nikon adapter has a wider diameter than standard t-rings (48 mm instead of 42 mm), and this is the size you want if you have a full frame Nikon D-Series camera body with a larger sensor.

To attach, simply remove your camera lens and fit the bayonet side of the Apertura adapter to your camera. Now your Nikon is ready to thread onto any number of 48 mm camera adapters; which one you use will depend on whether you will be doing prime focus photography (using the telescope as your lens) or eyepiece projection (photographing at higher magnification by shooting through an eyepiece inserted into the barrel of the adapter).
